Yeah, I hate posting depressing $#!t, but sometimes we need a little scare to get us to actually take action. There’s not much we can do, except drive less, buy better engines for our skiffs, install more efficient bulbs, unplug appliances when not in use, turn off the damn TV every once in a while, and, I don’t know, lots of stuff, I guess. As for the overfishing, write your legislator, post conservation stuff like this on your blogs, and (oh yeah) use the little gizmo they’ve provided to see which fish are actually sustainably harvested.
Blogs like our can help spread the word, let’s do what we can.

It’s getting tough these days to keep on keeping on with the state of the natural world. Even a little encouragement would go a long way.
I know what you mean. When is the Good News Train getting in? I’m ready to hear about something that’s getting better, not worse!
